Girl at the Rock Shows

Where did the weekend go? How is it already Monday? Why does it feel like any time I have off from work flies by, but when I’m working, time moves so slowly? I’m not stoked to be back at work right now. I would much rather still be cuddled up in bed, but that wasn’t a choice, and I need to check out some new music to help me get into the Monday mood, so let’s kick today off with “Doe Eyed Lover” from Anstase.

“Doe Eyed Lover” is Anstase’s first-ever song, but you wouldn’t know that listening to it. This track is flawless through and through. From the gorgeous vocals to the way they fit so perfectly with the slightly abstract and artsy instrumentation, everything is truly so perfect. Everything in this song is played and written by Anstase, other than the drums (which are courtesy of Ryan Noelle). I love the way that, although this song comes off as perfectly polished, you feel the emotion and raw heart of Anstase with every passing word. Although this is only the first track from Anstase, there is already a lot more in the works for this stunning artist, including an EP set to be released in early 2026 and live shows in the works after that. I know that 2026 still feels like a ways away but I’m already calling it that 2026 will be the year of Anstase.
