I love when bands put creativity into their songs. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I love songs about things I can relate to but I was instantly drawn to “Wooden Head” knowing that it’s a mix between the famous Disney story “Pinocchio” and the original “Adventures of Pinocchio” by Carlo Collodi all with a dark twist. Don’t get me wrong, this song is still absolutely relatable as it brings a message about being weary of those who take advantage of others but it’s the more mystical side of this song that really hooked me. Well, that and the insane amount of power that comes with this four minute and ten second song. The band warned me in their pitch that they turned it up to 11 for this track and that’s not hard to hear or feel. This song is intense, even brutal at times, but Quantum Drop Love keeps a sense of passion and heart in the forefront throughout this epic re-inspired story.
