Girl at the Rock Shows

I don’t have anything for you right now. My mind is all over the place like it has been for the past couple of weeks and I’m hoping that by taking a break and checking out “Can You Hear Me?” from North Ghost, I can re-focus on work stuff so let’s jump right in.

To say that “Can You Hear Me?” from North Ghost is catchy would be an understatement. This song is infectious and oh so very perfect. Stylistically, it’s very much in the pop-punk vein of things but there’s this little glisten of a sharp tongue that comes through here and there giving this song that extra little chutzpah to really get it’s claws in you. Not only is the beat super catchy, the message is a fairly positive one (which is something I think we could all use a bit more of these days). It’s a song about one small choice, opening one different door, can change your life completely. I think a lot of us here in Minneapolis are looking for that door right now. That one small thing we can all do to change what’s happening. I don’t know where that door is or what that thing is but I know that listening to “Can You Hear Me?” from North Ghost gave me a sense of relief and peace for just a couple of minutes.
