It’s another day. Another day of frigid temperatures that won’t stop this community from fighting back. Another day where the city feels on edge and it feels like it could come crumbling down with a throw of the smallest pebble. It’s exhausting. I’m exhausted. Minnesota is exhausted but life has to keep moving even if it takes a different form and new music is really all I have to help me keep going since I have put live concerts on hold to make sure there is time and space to support this community I call home.
“OUTTA MY HEAD” from BAD WRONG feels reckless but it also feels positive. Honestly, it is hitting oh so perfectly this morning. Overall, this song is very pop-punk in the vein of bands like Forever the Sickest Kids but there’s this almost indie rock approach to some of it that reminds me more of bands like The Band Camino. Either way and regardless of what bands this song reminds you of, it’s the kind of track that will instantly hook you and fill you with a positive energy. It’s a quick and punchy track with crunchy guitars and soaring vocals. The message of the song is about acknowledging red flags but ignoring them at the same time just to burn it all down. Like I said, a little reckless, a whole lot of unapologetic energy and oh so perfect for a Wednesday morning when you’re just trying to get the real world out of your head for a minute.
