If all goes okay today, I will be going to a show tonight. I almost feel guilty about it. Like I should not have any sense of enjoyment while my city is under siege but, at the same time, my mental health needs a break. I need the feeling of live music again and I need to feel okay because, like I keep saying, nothing is okay up here in Minneapolis right now. I still have a full day ahead of me before said show and a million things could change but, right now, I’m trying to be optimistic that I will finally get to breathe tonight. This has nothing to do with “Unrelated” from Fuzzy Feelings but is just what I’m thinking about on this frigid Thursday morning.

At first listen, “Unrelated” is a fuzzed-out punk song. It’s slightly furious and a little bit panicked but there’s something so sweet about the undertones throughout this quick, two minute-long track. I love the grit that comes through in this song. It gives it a very garage-rock kind of feeling yet there’s something oddly polished about the track at the same time. Although it’s a short anthem, it’s the kind of anthem that will get stuck in your head even without a standard catchy hook. If you like what you hear in “Unrelated,” I highly suggest you check out everything else Fuzzy Feelings has out there. It all has the same kind of vibe and will definitely put this band on your radar.
