Honestly, after last night’s show, I need something to calm me down. I’m feeling manic but in a good way. The energy I got from the show has lingered into today and, although I love it, I really have no outlet for said energy being chained to my day job desk. Thankfully, I have “Calm & Delivered” from Cape Crush to start my day off.
Okay, really, the only “Calm” thing about this song is the word in the title. This is a boisterous little pop-punk jam that, although not the most intense or heavy share I’ll have today, will absolutely bring you to life if you are dragging a bit this morning. The debut single from Cape Crush’s upcoming album ‘Place Memory,’ “Calm & Delivered” tells the story over being overstimulated in a world where everyone and everything around you is trying to keep you emotionally regulated. Can we talk about the perfect anthem for my current mental state? This song is about not being afraid. It’s about not waiting in line, not being afraid to take up space and, more importantly, not being scared to be yourself. So what if I’m having a bit of a manic morning. Why should I hide this? Why should I be embarrassed by the excitement I am still feeling after last night’s show? I shouldn’t and I love how “Calm & Delivered” from Cape Crush made me realize that.
