Girl at the Rock Shows

Happy Tuesday, everyone. I wish I had a quirky story about my night last night or something cool about my morning thus far but, truthfully, I have nothing. It’s another day of the grind. Another day at the day job wishing that I was anywhere else but knowing that I kind of have it made with how chill my day job can often be. Long story short, my head is all over the place and I don’t have a quirky story for you to lead into sharing “Canvas” from decades. but please don’t let that stop you from checking this track out.

decades. doesn’t hold back as far as hitting you with their crisp yet intense sound in this song. Much like my lack of intro on this post, there’s really no intro to this song and that’s what makes it so perfect. It’s as if decades. instantly grabs you and starts shoving your head underwater with only a few gasps of air here and there throughout the first couple of minutes of this song. Eventually, there’s a longer break that gives you a chance to digest to controlled chaos that happened at the frontend of this track but it doesn’t take long for decades. to plunge you back into their world. Although this song is super intense majority of the time, there’s this almost dreamlike part during that break that decades. gives you to breathe that I honestly could have gotten lost in for hours. The way this band does heavy so well but does more ambient and beautiful just as well is stunning and just part of what makes “Canvas” a much-hear single.
