Girl at the Rock Shows

It has already been one of those trying kinds of days. I woke up with so much hope, so much optimism this morning but then I walked into work and realized I was the only one who decided to show up. I honestly don’t get people and hate people all at the same time. It has me frustration and oh so very overwhelmed. Although I haven’t had as much time to check out new music as I would like, I want to take a little breather and check out “Oxford Street” from Soft No. If you’re like me and just don’t seem to have the time for much of anything today, I suggest you do the same and just take a quick breather to this stunning track.

I love how artsy this song is but how it’s still so very approachable and accessible. The song has a very early 2000s emo vibe to it but with a twist of synthy goodness. Add in the truly stunning and emotive vocals with a beautiful message and you are left with pure genius. There were moments throughout this nearly five-minute song that got me all kinds of stuck in my feelings while other moments made me want to get up and parade around my desk. Either way, “Oxford Street” filled me with a feeling of energy and love that I so badly need today and I can not thank Soft No enough for that. Make sure to stick around through this entire song. The end in particularly is beautifully stunning and definitely a twist from the rest of this song but it works and just adds to the epic creativity behind this group. “Oxford Street” will be part of the bands new EP ‘Super Neutral’ which will surely have more gems like this one and show many sides of this super versatile band so, if you like what you hear here, I highly urge you to throw this band a follow so you don’t miss any news about the arrival of ‘Super Neutral.’
