Girl at the Rock Shows

Today is one of those days where I have one foot “Out The Door” when it comes to my day job. Okay, that’s not really true but it’s already been a hard morning here and it’s only 9:30 in the morning. I’m not in the mood. I don’t have the patience and it’s taking every ounce of me to hold it together. I don’t know what’s going on here this week but it’s been tough and, with no end in sight, I’m desperate for a sense of solace like the solace I got from “Out The Door” by MojoPin.

This song is everything from grungy to angsty and all the way to something a bit more somber and chill and I love it. The song starts off slow and smooth but, as the track moves on, you get hit by waves of different emotions and feelings. It’s been a hot minute since I’ve thought about Silverchair but that’s the band that came to mind when I listened to this track for the same time. MojoPin brings so much emotion to this song and puts their own twist on a classic sound that draws you into their world with ease. “Out The Door” is equal parts heavy and harmonious. There are moments that will make you want to have a complete mental breakdown and others that will have you feeling defiant and strong. The song is drenched in grit and swagger which just really drives the message of this track home. What’s the message? I’m not going to ruin that for you. I guess you’ll just have to check it out for yourself!
