It’s the day before a holiday weekend, which means things are super slow and motivation is lacking. I should be using this slow day to get caught up on things, so I’m not stuck working all weekend, but really, all I want to do is sit here, sip on my coffee, and get lost in intricate daydreams. “Sense” from Darius Oon is providing the perfect soundtrack for said daydreams but is also acting as a bit of a motivational mantra for me this morning.
“Sense” is a super laidback singer-songwriter kind of song that comes at you with this sense of life and joy in a way. Don’t get me wrong, this song isn’t the most joyous thing you’ll hear all day, but there’s something just so playful and bright about this little love song that I found absolutely addicting. The music video that comes with this song is simple enough. It shows Darius switching between various instruments and just singing while moving around on a small wooden porch. I don’t know how I got so hooked into Darius’ world through this video, with how simple it is, but I did. Maybe it’s the charm that oozes from every moment he makes, or maybe it is just the simplicity of it, but either way, listening to and watching “Sense” gave me a whole new kind of daydream to get lost in.
