Girl at the Rock Shows

I didn’t stop sharing singles out, but I did stop making Instagram posts for every single single I reviewed. I honestly don’t know why. Maybe some of it was for the optics, trying to bring the focus to the photography I do at shows and bring more people into my actual blog rather than just my social media accounts, but, looking back, that was silly. All of the singles I share deserve their own post because each one is amazing and deserves some love and attention. So I’m going back to the old ways, starting with “Agua Buggalo” from Quality Living.

Do you like Modest Mouse but feel like they could get a bit more unique with their sound at this point? Then this is the song for you. This song is pure intensity, but in a subtle way. There are no breakdowns and no real sense of chaos at any point in this two-minute and fifty-five-second song, but there’s an energy here that is driving and fun. It’s the kind of song that will wake you up peacefully or keep you going without sending you into a manic kind of headspace. It’s also the kind of song that could bring you back down to earth if you’re feeling a bit manic, but it will keep your head in the clouds as your feet touch the pavement. “Agua Buggalo” is weird and unique, but, at the same time, digestible and understandable. Somehow, this band has found a way to keep their quirkiness in the spotlight while making sure they have a little bit of everything for everyone at the same time. “Agua Buggalo” is the third single from Quality Living’s upcoming album ‘Glacier,’ which is due out on October 23rd.
