I know it’s Monday morning. I know it’s early. But neither of those things changes the fact that today is going to be a good day full of amazing new music. How do I know that this early on Monday? Because I’m kicking my day off by introducing you to “Chance”, the brand new song from North Beach Gritty.
“Chance” eases you into the day with a sound of beautiful tenderness. Although there are epic swells of emotion and power throughout this song, it remains super peaceful and calm throughout making it the perfect song to get you moving this morning. I love the darkness of the vocals and how they seem to create a sort of echo against the piano-driven instrumentation. It’s a cool juxtaposition that lends itself nicely into a choose your own adventure kind of thing. Do you want today to be calm? Perfect, focus on that. Do you prefer to get some angst and sadness out? Great! Let yourself fall deep into the vocals. Either way, “Chance” is a stunner of a piece of art and definitely deserves your attention this morning.

“Chance is one of the first songs I wrote on piano. I’ve always thought it carried a certain sentiment that was sweet to the idea of something hopeful and colorful. The lyrics are an observation around the lonesome, those with no leg up in life.”
