I’m feeling spicy today. I don’t know what it is, but it’s 8:30 in the morning, and I feel like I’m ready to take on the world. Maybe some of this has to do with the fact that I’m kicking my day off with “Oh Hell No” from Dramma Dolls.
This song really speaks for itself. It’s an angsty anthem against, well, everything. It’s a two-minute chant that will get stuck in your head while also giving you a reason to raise your fist in the air. The bridge of this song has a bit of Shirley Chisolm’s 1983 speech, America Had Gone To Sleep where she says, “but it is certainly not going to be a government of and by and for the people in reality unless we the citizens of this realm become angry enough to rise up enough in righteous indignation and say we have to move in another kind of direction”, Like I said, this song speaks for itself and the power of the beat matches the power of the message so perfectly. If you feel like you’ve become a bit numb to everything happening in the world (and I wouldn’t blame you), this is the song you need to wake up and give you the motivation to get out there and do something about it.
