I’m still not feeling 100% today. I don’t know what plague came over me earlier this week, but it knocked me the fuck out, and I’m still dealing with the aftermath. That being said, I’m feeling worlds better today than I did yesterday, and I’m not about to let another day pass me by, so I’m going to stuff today as full as possible with work and new music, and the energy that radiates from “Part Of Your Life” from Of Control is absolutely going to help me along the way.

The opening track from Of Control’s debut EP, “Part Of Your Life,” is classic pop-punk goodness. I honestly don’t even know what else to say about it. It kicks off and instantly transports you into a world of energy drinks, skateboards, and dark guyliner. Okay, maybe that’s just me, but the taste of nostalgia that listening to this song gave me instantly filled me with a sense of life, and I loved how, even with that nostalgia, Of Control seemed to bring something new to the table. This song is fast and dirty in a way, but it’s also patient and polished at the same time. Really, it’s the best of all worlds. Nostalgia and fresh; gritty and smooth; energized and comforting. No matter what you need today, I’ll be willing to bet you can find it in “Part Of Your Life” from Of Control.
