Happy Saturday, everyone. I know that I typically take weekends off from working and from posting about a bunch of new music, but this is my own weekend at home between epic trips, and I’m in the mood to get caught up on stuff and even, dare I say it, get ahead before I skip town again. This means I plan on filling my Saturday with a bunch of new music, and I want to take you on the ride, so buckle up and let’s get started with “Demolate” from Methane.
Don’t be like me and try to look up the word “Demolate” to find out what it means. You won’t find anything, as it’s a made-up word by Methane. At first, I was frustrated with this because I wanted the song title to set the stage, but as this song kicked off, I realized that a made-up word is the perfect title for this song. “Demolate” is a brutal song through and through. It’s nearly four minutes of relentless energy and angst perfectly curated into a catchy and intense track. This is the song for those who don’t fit in. For the people who are consistently pushed to the edge but never quite fall over. You can feel a sense of desperation mixed with sheer, relentless energy, and that creates the perfect theme song to get you motivated and energized on an early Saturday morning.
