My day is not going as planned. It was, but then, while on lunch, shit hit the fan, and now I am frantically trying to put out fires that I didn’t create. I’m frustrated and so ready to be done for the day, but I’m not there yet. Thankfully, I have “Silent Sound” from Terror Shark to help me reach the finish line.
The first single from their third album, “Silent Sound” is fast and aggressive but it’s the groove that really catches you here. Although I wouldn’t call this a nu-metal song, it has a nu-metal kind of hook to it and I don’t mean that in a bad way or in the way that nu-metal is a bit “cheesy.” There’s just a rhythmic idea in this song that has a very nu-metal kind of vibe to it. That mixed with the relentless guitars and sheer speed of this song leaves you with a super powerful, fast-moving, song. But wait, there’s more! Not only is the instrumentation of this song on point, so is the message. It talks about the relationship between religion and power. I won’t say more than that because I really like what Terror Shark has to say throughout this song but, feel free to listen to “Silent Sound” a few times just so you can fully take in all of the amazing elements that make this song such a great one.
