I brought a bag of Hot Cheetos to work today. They were leftover from Riot Fest and, as much as I love them, I rarely snack at home, so they were going to get lost in the mess that is the pantry in no time. Bringing them to my day job was a mistake. It’s only 9:30 AM; my fingers are stained red, my throat burns, and my tummy hurts. I did this to myself. When it comes to candy, I have all of the self-control and can easily have just one piece before moving on. When it comes to Hot Cheetos– game over. This has nothing to do with “Holler” from Resurrection Men.

Resurrection Men is a bit of a super group for those in a certain market. Featuring members of SANS, Modern Rituals, Rothmans and Talons, Resurrection Men is a four-piece with an insane sense of power but also restraint. I love how heavy this song is but how it lacks a sense of chaos. I hear so many great and heavy songs that bridge into chaos just for the sake of it it seems but that’s not how Resurrection Men play. Their music is intentional. Even moments of relentless power is perfectly curated into a thought, not just a line of notes. Really, this song is all business and has an almost serious tone to it but that’s not reflected in the hilarious music video. If you’re looking for something to make you chuckle, check out the amazing video that comes with “Holler.” If you’re looking at a song to light a fire under your ass or give you a little pick-me-up, listen to “Holler.” If you don’t know what you’re looking for but just need something new, check out Resurrection Men. This is just the start for the band, as this is their debut single, so if you like what you hear, make sure to follow them so you don’t miss any updates on their debut album.
