I know I just shared a different song from Test The Waters yesterday, but truthfully, I can not get enough of this band right now, so I’m back to share another new song from them.
The second single of an upcoming 10-song album that is being released song-by-song throughout last month and this month, “wasted, again.” has Test The Waters’ signature pop-punk-perfect sound, but it brings a more 90s vibe to the spotlight. I love how, overall, this song is super fun and relatable as it talks about having to rely on alcohol to get through a social event. At the same time, it takes a slightly serious tone about this situation because, at the end of the day, it’s no laughing matter. I’ll be honest- it’s Friday so I definitely latched on to more of the fun elements of this track today but again, I just think it’s super well done and well thought out that the band didn’t just leave this as a party anthem. “wasted, again.” is an anthem for us aging pop-punk princes and princesses, and it could not be more perfect.
