Girl at the Rock Shows

I don’t want to jinx it, but I’m on a roll this morning. I’m getting stuff done and not feeling as tired as I should after getting just about four hours of sleep last night. I know that me just putting this out there will surely spoil my plans for a chill and productive Thursday, but let’s take advantage of the calm while we have it and dig into “Lot To Learn from Winyah.

I’m not going to say that I’m feeling manic, but the fact that I’m getting so much done this morning has me feeling a bit weird. Thankfully, the intro to this stunning track instantly brought my feet back to the ground. It’s calm and almost meditative, with a very comforting tone that sweeps over it as the vocals come in and start to show you just how amazing Winyah can be as a band. As the song moves on, you get waves of emotions and power all leading up to an explosion of emotion and sound that is truly music to the ears and soul. “Lot To Learn” is not punk, it is not metal. Truthfully, this is a straight-up indie rock jam which is not typically my cup of tea, but there’s something magical about Winyah, and you will surely feel that if you spend some time with this gorgeous song.
