The attitude in A.N.J.A.’s new single, “Monoxide” had me hooked. There is just such a swagger and such a fierceness in it that I just could not get enough of it. I think my cats would be okay if they never had to hear this song again as I played it to death the past couple of days. Although I loved listening to this killer track on repeat, I figured I may as well get to know the woman behind the song a bit better so, naturally, I had to ask some questions that had absolutely nothing to do with this track.
What’s a new hobby you have taken up during quarantine? If no hobby, is there a random TV show that you binged/ have a very strong opinion on?
I started doing Yoga, an absolute revelation.
If you could compare yourself to a bird, what bird would it be and why?
A raven – loyal, intelligent, and ominous. All things I aspire to be!
Have you ever been able to finish a Rubik’s Cube?
No.
Did Matt Skiba help or hurt Blink 182? Or, if you have no opinion, that’s fine too (although I’ll absolutely be judging you)!

What’s the best concert you’ve ever been to?
That was probably a Red Hot Chili Peppers concert in Munich that I went to see with my dad. The RHCP were my musical heroes during my youth. At the gig I didn’t even care about the music – just being in the same place with them made me nauseous from excitement.
What’s one thing I should know before listening to “Monoxide”?
Roughly 15% of caught serial killers are female.
