Where in the heck has the day gone? I wanted to check out so much new music but I’m just now taking a breather to check out a second new track of the day. I’m disappointed in the fact that I haven’t been able to share out as much as I wanted to but I will say today seems to be a case of quality over quantity. Case in point – “Television Funeral” from Mononegatives.

There’s something a bit dissonant about the way this song starts off but I love it and it truly pulled me as the song really took form. The third and final single from Mononegatives’ LP ‘ Crossing Visual Field’, “Television Funeral” has that perfectly fuzzy and grungy vibe that so many bands fail to pull off. It’s a delicate balance between fuzz and mud it comes to this style yet Mononegatives makes it seem so easy throughout this song. Although absolutely fuzzy, you can hear every part throughout this part clearly and even get some surprises including some alien-like electronic sounds towards the end of the song. This track is short and dirty at just a minute and a half long and there really aren’t many lyrics to write about here but that’s what makes this track so intriguing. It pulls you in as if daring you to not fall in love with Mononegatives and not spend the rest of your day digging into their other material out there.
