Sometimes you just need a good ol’ fashioned rock n’ roll song and that’s exactly what you get from “OK New Wave” from JERKS!
This track wastes no time catching your ears and heart with a simplistic drum beat kicking the song off before vocals come in and take this song off. There’s something playful about this song but it’s not obvious. Maybe this is from the energy that radiates from the song or just the general rock n’ roll vibe, but, regardless, this is just one of those fun songs that will make you smile as soon as it starts. I won’t lie, this song does dabble into the pop-punk vein of things but, overall, it is just good ol’ fashioned rock n’ roll. It’s a perfect balance that is a great listen for anyone who likes good music in general. It’s catchy and comes complete with gang vocals, an ridiculously catchy chorus and enough heart to make you melt.
