Girl at the Rock Shows

Of course I get sick on a holiday weekend. Such a bummer because I had big plans for this Labor Day weekend but, at the same time, it’s kind of nice to be cooped up in my house with nowhere to go especially when I have such a daunting stack of music to go through. Assuming I can stay awake for longer than just a couple of hours at a time, I plan on slamming you with new music to check out all day today starting with “By The Water” from LUUNGSSS.

“By The Water” isn’t fancy in any way, shape, or form, but it has such an addicting raw vibe to it that I couldn’t just pass this song up. The raw recording quality seems to match the overall tone of the words perfectly here. It’s angsty and emotional which is only amplified by the raw quality of this track. I’ll be the first to admit that this track won’t be for everyone and it took me a hot minute to really fall in love with this track but, if you let it happen, I promise it will get it’s claws in you and you will be so intrigued by LUUNGSSS that you won’t be able to to stop yourself from digging into some other songs from this post-punk solo project.
