It’s just 10AM but I am already so over today. I’m not sure what’s going wrong but I feel like I just can’t get comfortable at my desk and feel like every time I get my inboxes clean and I get ready to jump into work, a get a whole new crop of emails that I have to deal with. It’s just one of those days I suppose but, thankfully, I have some amazing that will surely come in handy as far as keeping me calm and collected throughout the day including “Redemption Arc” from Otherwives.
Hailing from Welland, Canada, Otherwives has a very familiar yet unique sound behind them and that sound is put in the spotlight in their track “Redemption Arc”. Although, at face value, they are a punk band, there are elements of indie-pop, emo, pop-punk, and alt-rock all wrapped into their sound creating that unique twist. Throughout this short song (it’s only two minutes long), I feel like you get to dive into the more alt-rock side of the band and get a bit of a 90s nostalgic vibe. At the same time, this song feels fresh and comes with an undeniable sense of heart and passion. There’s power behind “Redemption Arc” that will surely help you blast out of whatever funk you’re feeling just like it did for me.
