Girl at the Rock Shows

I’m trying not to get frantic as I write out my to-do list for the day. It’s long but it’s also Sunday and, with no approval for the show tonight at this point, I think I have the rest of the day to just power through my to-do list without much stress. That being said, I’m just a naturally stressed out person so I am walking a delicate line. Thankfully, “Somebody Who’s Not Me” from Chloé Sautereau is giving me all of the chill vibes I could possibly ask for.

Although this is absolutely a chill track at face value, this song is full of depth when you start to dig into the raw and emotional lyrics. Chloé has a true way with words and I felt like she was describing everything going on in my head at this exact time to a T. It’s almost a bit odd but also adds to the magic of this truly beautiful track. Chloé’s voice is flawless to say the least and although it had a very raw quality to it with the words she is saying throughout “Somebody Who’s Not Me”, there’s also something perfectly polished about it making this track a track that is ready for the masses. There’s a blurred line between flawless pop and vulnerable singer-songwriter when it comes to Chloé and it’s something that will surely set her up for success. I can’t wait to see her name more often and, after hearing “Somebody Who’s Not Me”, I think you will be feeling the same way.
