Although I know that heroin is no joking matter, Still Talk’s song “Jokes About Heroin” is a song that just has to be heard. Beyond that, although the song title is mildly inappropriate, this song is deep and does not actually contain jokes about heroin, but rather serves as a warning about the drug.

“Jokes About Heroin” is a song about the loss of a friend, addiction, and depression. It’s a real topic that I feel like we all can relate to yet don’t take time to reflect on. Still Talk gives you the time to reflect on this with this emotionally drenched track that will instantly tug at your heartstrings. The vocals remind me a bit about Sincere Engineer with the amount of power that comes through with every word. Although this is a serious song that is dripping with heart-felt sentiments, there’s a catchiness to this song that makes it a banger of sorts. Whether you’re going through some stuff right now or just need a moment to reflect on the hard times you’ve made it through, this song is for you and will surely hit you in just the right way. There are twists and turns throughout this three minute and twenty second song so if you’re not into the more pop-punk feeling intro, just hang around for a bit and prepare to be blasted by a sense of intensity that just can’t be put into words.
