There’s a sick kid in my house. This is a new thing for me. I’ve mentioned this before, but in case you missed it, my boyfriend moved in with me, which means we have two kids in the house every other weekend. Weekends are full of soccer practices for his daughter, which means I’m left at home with his son. This is all more than fine with me because, as long as his son has his Nintendo Switch, I am able to get some work done, but this morning, his son woke up throwing up everywhere. It’s been a weird thing for me to get used to. Sure, I can still work but I am constantly checking in on his son who is currently curled up on the bathroom floor in our bedroom. I’m thinking all he needs is some new music to check out and maybe that will calm his stomach so let’s blare “Bulletproof” from Stephen Kuc and see if it helps!

“Bulletproof” is not the most exciting song I’ll share with you today or even this week, but don’t let that turn you off from this track. The amount of heart that Stephen Kuc puts into every word, phrase, and note is stunning and brings a sense of energy to “Bulletproof” that wouldn’t be there otherwise. I love the way this song feels calm and chill like a singer-songwriter styled track but there are glimpses into something a bit harder. From moments that reminded me of something a bit generic to other moments that had me stuck with the Gaslight Anthem in mind, the balance that Stephen has found in this song is as stunning as his vocals. If you’re looking for a song to subtly fill you with energy, “Bulletproof” is it!
