Girl at the Rock Shows

It’s currently sunny and honestly, quite warm for a February day here in Minnesota. It’s truthfully absolutely gorgeous yet all the talk is the snow that we are supposed to get this afternoon/ evening. Honestly, I don’t believe it’s going to happen but I’ve seen crazier things happen with the weather lately so I guess I won’t hold my breath that it’s all a joke. It all has me feeling a bit “Upside Down” which is a perfect seg way into sharing “Upside Down” from Thanks To You with all of you! Okay, that was a terrible intro but, please, don’t hold it against this song!

“Upside Down” is a powerful and anthemic track about the struggled of people with extreme mental health disorders. Although this song is super personal for the vocalist as it is about a close family member, this is a song that, as we all try to be more conscious of our own mental health, really hits home in a beautiful way. There’s definitely a pop-punk vibe here but, overall, I feel like this song has just a bit more energy and angst than your standard pop-punk track. That being said, “Upside Down” is nothing short of a perfectly infectious track that will instantly get stuck in your head and make you want to much more from this Tulsa, Oklahoma-based band.
