Girl at the Rock Shows

I have been doing so good today with staying on track and getting stuff done but I literally just hit a wall. I’m not sure what happened but my eyelids are just too heavy for me to keep open anymore all of a sudden. This is not good since it’s not even noon and I still have so much to do today but that just means I need a little break in the form of checking out a new song. This little pick-me-up break is brought to you by “Atomic” from Saint Christopher.

Although this folk-pop ballad doesn’t comes with the same sense of energy as a metal or punk song would, this track instantly filled me full of life and warmth. The musical persona of Los Angeles based artist Christopher Kalil, Saint Christopher has such a comforting tone to their voice. It’s smooth and so very sweet yet comes dripping with emotion. As mentioned, this is a very ballad feeling song yet there were moments where the sound in this track is stunningly full. Think a wee bit of the power of Manchester Orchestra mixed with the dreaminess of Bon Iver and you can kind of get close to the magic that is “Atomic”. Whether you need a moment to just breathe and get back into a good headspace or are looking for a little warmth and comfort, “Atomic” from Saint Christopher is the track for you.
