It’s only 9 am I am already a bit on edge just thinking about how it’s already Thursday but I still have so much to do this week. It’s okay though. Although on edge, I feel like I’m getting a lot done and am feeling ready to take on the day. The only thing missing is some new music so let’s check out “Hold That Thought” from Indigo FM and get the day started off right.
Indigo FM is the project of Esteban Obando who is originally from Colombia, grew up in Canada, and then ended up in Los Angeles. I feel like you can feel a little bit of all of those travels in his song “Hold That Thought”. It’s a fairly understated song compared to the mostly angst and aggression filled tracks I typically share out but this song hooked me. The beat is not your standard beat but it’s just as infectious as your favorite indie-pop tune. The lyrics are soft and sweet in a way but come with a load of energy and fire behind them. There’s a beautiful build in this song that then falls into something almost ambient. I’ve talked about songs being rollercoaster rides and “Hold That Thought” is a prime example of that. It’s also a ride that I never wanted to end.
