You all know by now that I’m a sucker for a funny band name. Reading the band new Brew Berrymore definitely got a good laugh out of me and piqued my interest but you can’t just have a funny band name. You need to have a solid song too and that’s exactly how I would describe “Rescue Team”.
Much like the band name that this group from Bavaria has come up with, “Rescue Team” is a hilarious track. It’s a sarcastic song about classic rock, which, again, if you know me, you know is right up my alley. From the personas that come through loud and clear in the track to the over exaggerated vocals, riffs, and drum hits that somehow work perfectly with the overall anthemic indie-pop vibe of this song, “Rescue Team” had me hooked from the get go and until the very end. Although this is a low-key weird track and funny, there’s something very polished about the track which will definitely make you want more from Brew Berrymore. Funny band name and song aside, this band is definitely one to watch.
