Did you all have a good weekend? I did. It was a busy one but it was good and, honestly, a bit relaxing which feels weird. I definitely didn’t get everything done that I had wanted to but I’m okay with that and am ready to play catch-up this week and get back on top. I just need that soundtrack to help keep me going and this weeks soundtrack is starting out with a true banger.
“Tide Of You” is the first single from Resist The Ocean with their new singer and guitarist. Although I haven’t heard Resist The Ocean’s older material, I can tell you that this new song comes off as perfectly flawless. It’s a hard hitting song that is super full of heart. Although it’s very much a metalcore song, I like the sensitive nature of some of the vocals and instrumentation in this song. It adds a sense of depth to a song that could have so easily fallen into the “just another heavy track” category. “Tide Of You” begs to be seen live but, being that this band is from Germany, I honestly don’t know when that will happen for me. Although a bummer, that means I’ll just have to listen to “Tide Of You” on repeat and be on the look out for more amazing and new material from this band.
