It’s been a couple of months since I shared SUCKERPUNCH!’s track “Freakshow” with you. In case you weren’t paying attention back then, I’m here to remind you about this amazing band by sharing their new song “99” with you!
“99” will absolutely help you scratch that nostalgia itch that you haven’t been able to reach lately. That’s how the band put it and, honestly, it’s so true. This ode to the golden era of pop punk instantly took me back to moshing at 9 AM (how was that ever a thing) while trying to not choke on the dust being kicked up by the audience. I know I talk a lot about some of these pop-punk songs that are nostalgic but have a hint of modernism behind them but that’s not the case when it comes to “99”. This is a straight up journey down memory lane and, for an early Wednesday morning, was just what the doctor ordered.
