Girl at the Rock Shows

I honestly have no clue what happened. I got to work this morning, got my review of last night’s show done, got caught up on emails from all four of my jobs and then it was lunch. I think I just got so in the zone that I completely lost track of time which is fine because it means time is flying by and I’m one step closer to tonight’s show but it also means I’m super behind on sending you some new music to check out this Friday. I truly apologize about that but, no need to fear, although I’m late, I’m starting today off with a banger!

“Freakshow” is a pop-punk-perfect kind of track but with a fun spooky twist. This song draws inspiration from the band’s love of slasher films and all things horror. I won’t continue to give away the plot line laid out in this track but I will say that it adds a little razzle dazzle to an already solid song. It also makes it a perfect song for spooky season. I know I missed Halloween by a couple of days with this one but, for some of us, it’s spooky season year round and, as the band mentioned, some of us “live every Friday like it’s the 13th”. So break out that costume again, grab yet another handful of leftover candy, and put on your moshing shoes, “Freakshow” from SUCKERPUNCH! is a perfect track for your Friday.
