Girl at the Rock Shows

I don’t have anything super fun and interesting to share with you right now. Honestly, my day is just trucking along and I’m getting a lot done and it feels great but I’m missing some new music so let’s take a break from the grind of Thursday and check out another new track.

“We Were Kings” is a dynamic and impressive duo between Phantom Dan and Emilee Campbell Harden. Stylistically, this is very much pop-punk leaning a bit into an old school Blink 182 sound meets a new-school Machine Gun Kelly vibe. It’s a fun song and definitely catchy but that’s not what had me hooked about this track. “We Were Kings” features a perfect balance and contrast between the voice of these two super talented musicians. The give and take throughout the track is perfect and I love the bouncing between the two voices and what that brings to the depth of this song. Whether you want to dig into the depth of it or just dance around to the infectious beat of “We Were Kings”, this song will get your blood pumping and put a smile on your face.
