I know it’s been awhile since I have shared a song from Restroyer. with you but don’t think that this band has left my mind because they haven’t. Their song “Parasite” had me hooked upon the first listen and I was more than impressed to find out that that was their debut single. I am even more impressed by their new track “Whose Kidneys Are These?”.
Although this newer song has the same intensity and angst that I got from “Parasite”, there’s a more fun-fueled vibe to this track that I instantly got addicted to. Although there were subtle ska vibes in “Parasite” I feel that Restroyer. brings those to the forefront in this song. At the same time, this is still just another solid skate punk feeling track. This song is only two minutes and forty-four seconds long so it comes at you fast and hard but that’s part of the charm of this band. Even with such a short track, they somehow fit everything into it that you could possibly want including a super ear-catching bass solo. Maybe you didn’t believe me when I said that Restroyer. was worth your attention with their song “Parasite” but I surely hope you listen to me now. This new song is proof that Restroyer. is here to stay and, eventually, you’ll have to give in and check this band out.
