I apologize for going AWOL. Not only was I super busy cover the inaugural Minnesota Yacht Club festival (which was amazing), but I was also sick as a dog for the past couple of days to the point where I just could not muster up enough energy to work or even open my computer. Although I’m still fighting through whatever Godforsaken illness this is (not Covid– knock on wood), I am back at work and trying to get back on top of things which means time to share out some new songs for you all!
This first track back after my little sabbatical is a true banger. Rundown Kreeps is a true skate punk band from Los Angeles that has just a classic and perfect vibe to them. “F.C.” is an aggressive song but it’s also not super in-your-face. It’s the kind of song that will make you want to grab you board and just go out for a nice cruise. With a slight twang in the vocals, and a slight sense of chaotic ska energy here and there, I really liked that, although most easily classified as a skate punk band, Rundown Kreeps has so many cool intricacies to their sound that come through loud and clear throughout this three minute song. Rundown Kreeps have been doing their thing for years now so, if you like “F.C.”, I highly suggest you check out the rest of their releases out there on nearly every streaming platform out there.
