Although I’ve never been a massive fan of going outside and being in large crowds of people, I am far from agoraphobic. Although I understand it, I couldn’t imagine not being able to leave the house without a constant sense of panic or anxiety– until I heard “Panic” from Vale. This song, as Vale puts it, is “a direct reflection of my life growing up with agoraphobia and how it brought me here.”
Everything about this song fits, from the background of this song, to the title. There’s a sense of sheer chaotic panic throughout this song, but at the same time, there’s a sense of powerful heart and conviction. “Panic” is a strong song with movements throughout it that keep you on your toes. Although, overall, the song is super heavy through and through, there are these little highlights of something a bit more tender . I really like how these little highlights and the way they contrast the sheer intensity and “Panic” of this track evoke a sense of emotion even if you think you can’t relate to the subject matter of the song. Long story short, Vale has a powerful and strong sound that is more than worth you attention so, what are you waiting for? Take a listen to “Panic” and make sure to show this band some love.
