Strawberry Moon taught me what a “barn-burner” is with their song “I’m So Wet.” Not only did that track’s description catch me, but so did the song itself. It was powerful, intense, fuzzy, swagger-filled, and it was perfect. I’m back today to remind you of the genius of this band and the way it comes through so crystal clear in their new song, “Rearview.”

“Rearview” is off of Strawberry Moon’s new EP, ‘Smoon’ and it will definitely leave you wanting to drop whatever random playlist you’ve had going on repeat in the background to check this EP out as a full. In true Strawberry Moon fashion, this song has a large amount of fuzz, but the strength of this band cuts through it, giving you a chance to hear every word and note clearly. Lyrically, this song is about letting go and looking forward, which, for today, is a reminder that I really needed. It’s catchy and, like other songs from Strawberry Moon, comes with their signature blend of snark, making it a perfect pick-me-up if you’re starting fade this Wednesday afternoon.
