I honestly have nothing for you this morning as far as quirky intros go. It’s just another morning where there’s a pile of work sitting in front of me that I know will never get done before I head to another show tonight. I’m trying not to let this get the best of me, but truthfully, that’s easier said than done. Although the day is just getting started, I need a little break, a little re-set. This first break of today is brought to you by “Space Traveler” from The Corrupted Hearts.

The Corrupted Hearts are an alt-rock band from Columbus, OH which such a fun and unique sound that is highlighted in this nearly four-minute long track. Although definitely an alt-rock band through and through, there are jazzy elements in this song that help tell the story of “Space Traveler.” The song itself is about, “being hopelessly in love with a beautiful Jazz singer from earth, from the perspective of a Space Traveler from a different world.” I have your attention, don’t I? Honestly, I think this is such a creative storyline for a track but the true creativity comes from this band. The way they merge jazz, lounge, and alt-rock together to create this sometimes sultry, sometimes powerful song is amazing and it will truly take you on a journey that you won’t ever want to leave.
