Although it hasn’t been a particularly rough Monday morning, I can feel this odd sense of aggression building up in me. If I let it go too long, it will surely ruin my day but, thankfully for me, I have “Half Life” from Grenata Rose to save me from myself.
This song is dark in all of the right ways. Although I have the lyrics to the track in my back pocket, I’m not going to spell it all out for you for two main reasons. First, because the vocals throughout this song are crystal clear. There’s a lot going on instrumentally with this grunge-forward heavy-hitting track, yet the vocals cut through it all, giving you a clear vision of each word and phrase. Secondly, because the lyrics are up for interpretation. With the way they are so flawlessly presented throughout this four-minute track, you can either let this song lead you to the light or comfort you in darkness. Either way, the swagger of this Texas-based hard rock band will hit you and it will hit you hard so buckle up and take a listen to “Half Life” from Grenata Rose.
