Girl at the Rock Shows

Lysne became a staple of my daily playlist with “A Song About Breaking Up.” Although I’m not breaking up with anything or anyone right now, the song spoke to me with its modern twist on a pop-punk nostalgia. I thought it was just going to be a one-song kind of thing, but then I heard “Leave Me Alone,” the 2023 bop from Lysne, and I realized that Lysne was so much more than just that one catchy song.

“Leave Me Alone” is another perfect pop-punk-leaning track. It’s a song off the EP ‘Off The Track’ which came out in 2023. Although it’s not new, I had never heard this song before, and I’m sure the same can be said for some of you, so it’s absolutely worth re-visiting. Although this song has a very pop-punk vibe like “A Song About Break Up” did, it also has a more standard alt-rock feeling to it, which shows just how many sides there are to Lysne while also reminding you that this one-man band has a sound that can only be described as “Lysne.” With soaring guitars and heartfelt lyrics, listening to “Leave Me Alone” will not only have you more hooked nto Lysne’s world, but will also have you humming along to the infectious chorus until the sun goes down.
