We all say and do things that we wish we could take back but, the reality is, once you put something out there, it’s out there. That’s not necessarily a good or bad thing, in my opinion. Truthfully, I think it adds to the messiness and uniquness that is life and shows us all that, no matter our age, we can always learn and, at the end of the day, we are all but human. “didn’t mean to” from Undead In My Bed kind of talks about this and brings an energy to the message that is as powerful as it is beautiful.
“didn’t mean to” was written after Undead In My Bed lost their control in an argument with their girlfriend. It happens to all of us, and after a fight with a loved one, all you can do is ask forgiveness, which is what this song essentially is. It’s an ask for forgiveness that comes with raw vocals, an undeniable sense of fire and passion, and even a little pop-punk bop to get your blood flowing. I love how Undead In My Bed puts so much emotion into this song and addresses such a sensitive topic, yet does it with infectious energy that adds a twist and almost puts a positive spin on resilience in the context of the topic. Whether you need to find the words for an apology or want a reminder that you’re not alone in this world, even when you make a mistake, “didn’t mean to” from Undead In My Bed is a great listen.
