Girl at the Rock Shows

September can not get here soon enough and I swear I’m not saying that only because that’s the month of Riot Fest– arguably one of the best festivals in the country– but also because that’s when Repeat will be droppig their new EP which features “Celebrate,” the single I’m about to share with you now.

I don’t know what it is, but “Celebrate” is just hitting me now, and it’s hitting me hard. This is a banger of a track with anthemic tendencies, a punk attitude, and an overall energy that is absolutely irresistible. I love the fact that I can compare this song to current bands like The Chats but also put classic bands like The Bouncing Souls in that conversation. Repeat has such a cool blend that, at the end of the day, can be compared to many, but you will never find that perfect comparison because it’s a unique sound. The sound behind “Celebrate” is huge, but it’s also oddly comforting at the same time. You can feel a sense of angst and even subtle rage behind this track but also find some time throughout this two and a half minute bop to relax and breathe.
