Girl at the Rock Shows

I’ll be honest, something about this song title just didn’t rub my the right way. It just felt a bit lame if I’m going to be 100% real with you. That being said, something in my gut told me I had to check this song out even if I didn’t like the title. I will always be that person who goes with their gut and encourage others to do so as well because, had I ignored it, I would have missed out on the pop-punk gem that is “Punk with me” from lion moore.

I can’t give you any background on lion moore because everything that came with this single was written in Korean. That being said, you don’t need to know anything about this artist’s background or the meaning of this track to know that it is pop-punk perfection. I love how the beginning of this track comes as a bit hollow, but after about fifty seconds in, you get hit with a full band sound. That being said, even when the drums hit and you get a fuller sound from lion moore, there’s something oddly understated and hollow about this song. That doesn’t sound like a good thing, I know, but in the case of “Punk with me,” it worked and seemed to give this track a raw twist that I wasn’t expecting but added such an undeniable sense of fire and passion to this track.
