The world is weird right now. It’s hard to be a thirty-something trying to navigate this mess so I can only imagine what the younger generation is going through right now. I’m not sure how they are all hanging in there but I do know that there is some brilliant and passionaite art coming out of these crazy times from a generation a bit younger than me and “No Youth, No Future” from Soul Meets Body is a perfect example of that.

This song is angty and raw which perfectly reflects this young generation that is on the edge of everything. There’s an urgency in this song that left me absolutely speechless in more ways than one. One of those ways was the sheer amount of power that Soul Meets Body was able to put into this song. Another way that this song left me speechless was how I felt the weight of the world throughout this all too quick song, but never felt overwhelmed by it. Somehow, this song brought me a sense of peace, if only because I knew, listening to the fire and passion that came through with every passing beat, that I am not alone in my frustrations with everything happening around me right now. “No Youth, No Future” may be a hot take on the current status of the worl,d but it’s also an anthem of defiance that should be shouted from the rooftops.
