Should I be taking a break to check out another new song right now? Absolutely not but, if I don’t take a little breather and have a few minutes of joy, I’m going to lose it and probably rage quit my day job if only for the rest of the day (which is not an option). So, let’s take a break, breathe, and enjoy “Point Of View from The Honesty.
The third song from The Honesty’s upcoming album, “Point Of View,” is as catchy and infectious as it is heartfelt and honest. This song is a classic pop-punk kind of song. It instantly reminded me of MxPx with the fast and furious, almost hardcore-leaning beat and the way it clashes with vocals that feel a bit brighter than you would expect. The lyrics are tongue-in-cheek but also brilliant at the same time, which made it so easy to get completely and utterly lost in this quick, under-three-minute-long song. Come for the catchy hooks, stay for the simplistic-sounding yet perfectly crafted guitar solo about halfway through this song, “Point Of View” from The Honesty absolutely has me counting down the days until this band releases their album as a whole.
