I mean, this song title says it all, right? “Enough is Enough.” It’s a sentiment that is being shouted from the rooftops across the world right now, but it’s being shouted particularly loudly here in Minneapolis. Although the current events are not exactly what this debut song from Tackle is about, it’s a fitting track for today, so let’s get today started off right by digging into it.

This song kicks off with a classic hardcore beat. Although the hardcore influence definitely reigns supreme throughout this three-minute song, you also get a little taste of post-hardcore and even punk scattered throughout the song. You can’t just hear the desperation in this song; you can feel it. The vocals go from intense grit to emotionally drenched shouts in the blink of an eye, making the movement in this song feel almost surreal and overwhelming (but in a good way). I love how, although the drums are super powerful throughout this track, they don’t overpower everything else. You can clearly hear every word, every guitar strum, and every bass note throughout this track. The way Tackle layers all of these sounds that all hit you with an extreme sense of power is brilliant. “Enough is Enough,” as mentioned, is the debut song from Tackle and absolutely acts as a heads-up that this band is one to watch right now.
