Girl at the Rock Shows

I got a new office chair. It’s a hand-me-down from my little brother, but it’s so freaking nice. I can slide all over the house if I want to, and when just sitting here, it’s so much more comfortable than my last one. This has nothing to do with “Office Chair” from Bureau De Change other than the song title and I know you’re not here to read me praise this new office chair so let’s go ahead and dig into this single.

Right off the bat, this song reminded me Lambrini Girls. It has an angsty and frustrated tone to the vocals, while the instrumentation feels like a clash of thoughts and feelings. This is a fast and furious track that lasts less than two minutes but it definitely gets stuck in your head. This is the song that you want to have playing on repeat when you are stuck at your day job and desperate to get out. It acknowledges the grind and repetitive nature that is a workday so perfectly. It reminds you that, although you may be miserable, you are not at all alone and, sometimes, that’s what we all need just to get through the day.
