I’m staying on top of things as of now, and it feels good. Per usual, I’m not trying to jinx it, but I just know that something is going to happen to twist my day up in all sorts of messed-up ways, and I’m just trying to enjoy this peace while I have it. One could say that I am just going about my business, waiting for the “Trigger” to hit. Okay, terrible segway into Rude Tins’ new song titled “Trigger” but don’t let that stop you from checking out this track.

“Trigger” is the first track from Rude Tins’ upcoming EP ‘Resilience’. The intro has an almost rap-rock kind of vibe to it, but then, after just a couple of seconds, everything changes. Horns come in and take this song into a world of ska-punk perfection. This song moves fast, so even though it’s almost four minutes long, it won’t feel like it. Lyrically, this song is about a “Tigger moment”. As the band explains it, “Trigger” is about the moment that changes everything — or the wait for it that never seems to end. It’s that restless tension we all know: waiting for the spark, the call, the push that shifts your whole world.” Although the “Trigger” that I am anticipating for today is not going to be life-changing, only just more of an annoyance in my day, this song spoke to me. Beyond that, the energy that radiates from this song made me want to drop everything else I have to do today and just dig into more from Rude Tins. They have been around since 2004 so there’s plenty out there for you to enjoy!
